How CreditPerk works
CreditPerk compares what your card actually paid you against the best rate available for the same spend, then subtracts annual fees. Everything below comes from one file you upload - a card statement - and takes a few minutes.
How the audit works
- 1
Upload a card statement
CSV or Excel straight from your card issuer. One file per card.
- 2
We sort every charge
Each purchase is matched to a spend category - advertising, shipping, software, travel, and the rest.
- 3
See what you earned and what you missed
Your current reward rate next to the best rate available for the same spend, in dollars.
- 4
Get a 12-month card plan
Which cards to apply for, in what order, which spend goes on each, and the annual fees subtracted from the gain.
How the numbers are calculated
Category matching
Every charge is matched by merchant name, and by the merchant category code on the statement when the name is unfamiliar. Charges we cannot place are shown as unclassified and still earn your card's base rate in the numbers.
Current rate versus best rate
For each category we take the rate your card paid and the best rate any recommended card would have paid on the same spend. The difference is the amount you missed.
Points valued honestly
Points are converted to dollars at a stated cents-per-point rate, and you can move that rate yourself to see a conservative or an optimistic view.
Spending caps respected
Bonus categories usually stop paying after an annual spend cap. Once your spend passes a cap, the rest of that category drops to the base rate in the plan, so the totals stay realistic.
Annual fees subtracted
A card only appears in your plan if it earns more than it costs. The headline figure is the gain after every recommended card's annual fee.
A plan you can act on
The result is up to a handful of cards over 12 months, spaced out, with the spend that belongs on each one and which card to keep for everything else.
Common questions
What does CreditPerk do?
It audits your business card spend. You upload a card statement, and CreditPerk shows the cash back and points you earned, the amount you could have earned on better cards, and a 12-month plan to close the gap.
Is it free?
Yes. The audit is free, there is no credit check, and you do not connect a bank account.
What do I need to upload?
A statement file from your card in CSV or Excel. You can add one file per card.
How does CreditPerk make money?
CreditPerk plans to earn from card referrals and a paid tier. Recommendations are ranked by the value they add to your own spend, and annual fees are always subtracted before a card is recommended.
What happens to my data?
Your transactions and audit results are saved to your CreditPerk account so you can come back to them. There is no bank connection and no banking password involved.
Who is it for?
Small businesses and self-employed people in the United States who put real spend on cards - e-commerce brands, agencies, freelancers, consultants, and SaaS companies.
